ATLAS-Correction

The first step in my practice for correction of the atlas is to gently feel the  neck muscles to ascertain any tension. Also the trigger points are tested for any stress. Muscle imbalance can thereby be ascertained along the backbone. This can appear in the form of an ostensible pelvic skew state or a difference of leg length.

After treatment with the special atlas correcton stick and manual massage of the muscles in the back and nape, the desired relaxation occurs. The relaxed state allows the connecting vertebrae to self-adjust into the correct position. As a result, the backbone becomes totally striaght and the self-healing process can begin.

Indications for an atlas correction:

The functions of the body are dependent on the fact that the nervous system coordinates all vital functions optimally and undisturbed.  Everything on and in our body is run through the brain. To explain, Information goes from the brain to the spinal cord, then through the backbone over to the nerves residing between the vertebrae and then to the organs. The organs send signals back again to the brain through nerve pipelines.

Even if a vertebrae only moves slightly out of place, it exerts pressure on the nerve tracts and hinders the transfer of information. The reaction potential of the nerves is then limited and  and malfunctions can appear.

The atlas, the 1st cervical vertebra is, because of its position, especially in danger of moving out of place; it is directly connected with the skull and 2nd cervical vertebra. The atlas correction offers a careful possibility to allow the atlas to swing into its origial position. After intensive palpation, the practitioner gives a sideways impulse across the atlas. Subsequently, all the other vertebraue make domino-like self-adjustments. Displacents correct themselves as far as possible.
